TESOL courses give students the chance to cultivate their own creativity as teachers, to use theory-based language teaching skills effectively, to observe and learn from real language classrooms, and to familiarize themselves with modern technology support in teaching. Research areas for the NTNU TESOL faculty cover studies in English language teaching for students of different ages, language acquisition, the teaching of listening, speaking, reading, writing and culture studies, and CALL. Faculty often work collaboratively on research projects, and present their findings at national and international conferences and in academic journals.
