【活動】2026 EMI 研討會 Constructing Disciplinary Knowledge through English-Medium Instruction10/31–11/1・教 202

本系將於 10 31 日(六)至 11 1 日(日)在教育學院大樓教 202 舉辦 2026 EMI 研討會「Constructing Disciplinary Knowledge through English-Medium Instruction: A Participatory Research Approach」,由本系玉山學者徐碧美教授召集,教育部玉山學者計畫贊助。研討會發表八項 EMI 課堂研究,由應用語言學者與生態學、民族音樂學、室內設計、歷史、化學、電腦工程等學科教師共同完成,探討學科知識如何在全英語課堂中建構。主題演講由維也納大學 Christiane Dalton-Puffer 教授與馬德里自治大學 Ana Llinares 教授擔任;並由前述兩位教授及牛津大學 Heath Rose 教授與倫敦大學學院 Jim McKinley 教授擔任與談人。實體報名至 10 24 日止,線上報名開放至活動當天;實體與會者提供午餐與茶點。

The Department of English will host the 2026 EMI Symposium “Constructing Disciplinary Knowledge through English-Medium Instruction: A Participatory Research Approach” on 31 October and 1 November in Jiao 202, Education Building. Convened by Professor Amy B. M. Tsui, Yushan Fellow, the symposium presents eight EMI classroom studies, each carried out jointly by an applied linguist and a content teacher in ecology, ethnomusicology, interior design, history, chemistry and computer engineering. The symposium also features keynote speeches by Professor Christiane Dalton-Puffer (University of Vienna) and Professor Ana Llinares (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid), who also serve as respondents along with Professor Heath Rose (University of Oxford) and Professor Jim McKinley (University College London). In-person registration closes on 24 October; online registration stays open until the day of the symposium. Lunch and refreshments are provided for those attending in person.
