TESOL Track

The NTNU TESOL program offers Taiwan’s future generations of language teachers the most up-to-date professional knowledge and language teaching concepts. TESOL courses give students the chance to cultivate their own creativity as teachers, to use theory-based language teaching skills effectively, to observe and learn from real language classrooms, and to familiarize themselves with modern technology support in teaching. Research areas for the NTNU TESOL faculty cover studies in English language teaching for students of different ages, language acquisition, the teaching of listening, speaking, reading, writing and culture studies, and CALL. Faculty often work collaboratively on research projects, and present their findings at national and international conferences and in academic journals. TESOL Program faculty also publish the department’s English Teaching & Learning, a research-oriented journal which has received awards from the National Science Council for outstanding contributions to the field.
